Our Story

Hired in Law began as a LinkedIn post, where I expressed my feelings of helplessness and isolation created by the opaque and often futile process of applying for law jobs as a non-Training Contract holder law graduate. I proposed the idea of creating a community for law applicants to help each other with support and tips for applying.

The idea received more support than I ever could have expected, and we now have a group of over 600 members helping one another with the application process.

We created a communal CV review channel, an SQE study channel, and provided Q&A’s with recruiters from firms like Ashfords and Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer.

I wanted to create this website as a public guide to creating a successful CV, which we communally identified as the largest stumbling block in our applications.

The advice given throughout this website is based on countless conversations with recruiters and successful applicants, to try and show you what to include, and what not to include, in your CV when applying for entry-level paralegal jobs and training contracts.
